No matter where Croatia captain Luka Modrić goes he is a big star. The 2019 Ballon d’Or winner received a huge welcome in Kuwait this week where he took part in an exhibition match.
Modrić captained ‘Team Modrić’ against Luis Figo’s ‘Team Figo’ in an exhibition match as part of the ‘Al Roudan Futsal Tournament Kuwait 2019.’
Modrić was introduced to the crowd to loud chants of his name before he said a few words.
“This is my first time in Kuwait, thank you for your warm welcome. I feel very comfortable here and wish you enjoy the game,” Modrić said before the match.”
