WHERE LEGENDS ARE REBORN
A Legends World Cup
In partnership with Pitch International, Star Sixes is a competitive six-a-side indoor football competition reuniting the world’s greatest players in their national team colours to renew old rivalries. The first-ever tournament was held at The O2, London, July 2018 and won by Robert Pires’ France side.
In January 2019 the second edition took place at the the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, which hosted the first regional edition of the tournament. England, Scotland, Northern Island, Republic of Ireland, Wales and an all-star Rest of the World team competed over three days of scintillating indoor action. England's Michael Owen lifted the trophy after beating the Rest of the World team in the final.
Stellar names to take part to date include England’s Steven Gerrard and Michael Owen, Brazil’s Roberto Carlos and Rivaldo, Italy’s Alessandro Del Piero and Ravanelli, Spain’s Carles Puyol and Salgado, Germany’s Michael Ballack, Portugal’s Deco and Nigeria’s Jay-Jay Okocha.
This is no ordinary ‘legends’ tournament. The players put on a show for the fans but, above all,
Star Sixes is about glory, it’s about winning, it’s about national pride.

Star Sixes was definitely a career highlight for me. The o2 arena as a venue was fantastic, the images looked incredible on the tv & the access we were given to players was absolutely superb.
